intervention manual
Under 10’s
This guide aims to help practitioners from different agencies consider the next steps in terms of assessing and working with young children (Under 10 yrs of age) and their families when an AIM initial assessment has identified areas of concern in regard to the child's sexual behaviour.
The guide needs to be used in conjunction with the AIM Initial Assessment of Children Aged Under 10 years Old with Problematic Sexual Behaviour (Wilkinson and Carson 2001).
It will also be helpful for practitioners to refer to the AIM Initial Assessment and the AIM Comprehensive Assessment and Early Intervention Manuals of Parents/Carers of Children and Young People with Sexually Harmful Behaviour (Morrison and Wilkinson 2004).
The guide is in two sections:
- Comprehensive Assessment
- Using the Assessment Framework to guide Intervention
