Consultancy: Setting Up Services for Children and Young People Who Sexually Harm
A half day event that focuses on identifying a local base line picture of current assets and gaps in local authority arrangements / services for children and young people who display sexually harmful behaviour. The half day will facilitate a multi-agency ‘shared vision’ and ‘action plan’.
Cost: £400 plus expenses
Basic Awareness of SHB
A one day course that will raise awareness of the continuum of sexual behaviours displayed by children and young people and explore appropriate responses by application of the AIM Initial Assessment models.

AIM Initial Assessment and Intervention for Under 12’s Who Display Sexually Harmful Behaviour
A two day course aimed at providing practitioners with the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills to undertake assessment linked to initial and core assessments and develop subsequent intervention strategies / skills / action plans with children under the age of 12 years.
Cost: £1,550 plus expenses
Working with Families of Young People Who Display Sexually Harmful Behaviour
A two day course aimed at providing practitioners with the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills to undertake AIM assessment and intervention with families. The course will address assessment, methods of engaging families, attachment, family scripts and intervention.

Managing and Supervising Staff Working with Young People Who Display Sexually Harmful Behaviour
A two day course which presents an understanding of sexually harmful behaviour and the AIM2 Initial Assessment model. It also explores the specific issues around supervision arising for managers.

Supporting and Managing Children and Young People Who Display SHB within Residential Settings
A two day course aimed at providing residential social workers and support staff with the basic awareness skills to recognise, respond, manage and support young people who display sexually harmful behaviour. The AIM Guidelines for Residential Staff will form the basis on the training.

Supporting and Managing Children and Young People Who Display SHB in Foster Care Settings
A two day course aimed at developing an understanding of sexual behaviours and introducing guidelines for assessing sexual behaviours. There will also be focus on managing risk and meeting needs within foster care settings. The AIM Guidelines for Foster Carers will form the basis for this training.

Supporting and Managing Children and Young People Who Display SHB in Schools or Education Settings
A one day course for staff in the education field that is based on the AIM Education Guidelines and which addresses, assessment, management and support within a school setting for children and young people who display sexually harmful behaviour.
Cost: £775 plus expenses
Referral Panel Members and Sexual Offences
A one day course that provides a basic awareness of sexual offending and addresses the issues faced by referral panel members with particular reference to the restorative justice element of referral orders.

AIM2 Initial Assessment for Adolescents Who Display SHB
A two day course that identifies current knowledge and research relating to sexually harmful adolescents and presents the AIM2 initial assessment model for application. The course will enable participants to undertake AIM2 assessments on young men aged 12-18 years of age who display sexually harmful behaviours and who may require a response from either criminal justice or child welfare agencies. An AIM2 manual will be needed to be purchased seperately if required.

Interventions with adolescents who display Sexually Harmful Behaviour
A two day course designed to follow on from the AIM2 assessment course. The training will provide a guide to effective practice,useable resources and techniques in promoting motivation and engagement of young people, the Good Lives Model as a basis for intervention planning,co-working, identifying individual needs and goals, planning services and therapeutic work, intervention techniques in offence specific work.
This is a Gmap course that is made available through AIM. The course content and delivery is the responsibilty of Gmap and is based upon the specialised experience and knowledge that Gmap has gained over many years as one the primary providers of services to young people who display SHB in the UK.

Interventions with adolescents who display Sexually Harmful Behaviour
A two day course designed to assist delegates to understand how attachment theory and trauma relate to the development of young people with sexually harmful behaviour, including neurobiological impact, to consider the implications of attachment and trauma on intervention planning and to learn a variety of techniques to engage and motivate young people with complex histories.

Internet Assessment, Intervention and Moving On (iAIM)
A one or two day course designed to establish why this area of practice development is needed; the course explores a number of important dimensions of internet offending which practitioners will find useful. It provides an assessment checklist relating to young people accessing child abuse images using new technologies,an action and analysis section and the I AIM audit tool

Assessment and therapeutic responses to young people with specific learning needs who sexually harm
This two day course will consider how our work with young people with specific learning needs such as a learning disability, autistic spectrum disorders, and acquired brain injuries can be accounted for. It will specifically address:
- The assessment of learning needs and how this can inform therapeutic practice, including intervention planning and treatment delivery
- Making assessment and treatment responsive to learning needs through the adaptation of models and tools for use in both individual and group-work formats
- Overcoming challenges in assessment and treatment and establishing realistic treatment targets
- Strengths-based practice; Empowering young people with learning needs to make positive choices, whilst promoting healthy sexual functioning
- Consideration of how to engage and mobilise the support network of young people with learning needs in order that learning and skills development can be enhanced, consolidated and transferred to real-life settings
